Title: 7 Ways to Boost Your Confidence
Congratulations on your new look and body. As with any changes, adjusting to your new body won’t be easy. You’ll be amazed at the new things that your skinny body can accomplish. Though you may be enthusiastic about the results, some of your old body insecurities may resurface from time to time.
To help you love your post surgery self, we composed a list of some easy ways to give yourself a confidence boost whenever necessary:
Treat Yourself
Don’t go crazy and get in debt. Instead, treat yourself to a day of engaging in some of your favorite activities, like shopping, dinner, movies, etc. Another option is to plan for a future treat yourself day. Sometimes just the anticipation of an event can inspire feelings of joy and giddiness. Also preparing for a treat yourself day can lead to a new sense of focus, and makes you more ready to take charge of your life, which generally makes you feel better about yourself.
Save on your treat yourself day by searching for coupons before leaving your home. Major retailers, such as PacSun, often make their coupons available on their Groupon page. For the latest sales, search Groupon often.
Get Healthier
Surgery only stops the problem temporarily. Therefore, if you want to maintain your new body, you have to change your habits. Eat healthier meals and snacks, and start a regular workout routine. Start with small changes such as walking daily, and introduce new fruits and vegetables into your diet. Eventually, you can intensify your workout routine and restrict your unhealthy foods more.
Along with getting better and regular exercises, get at least between 7 and 8 hours of sleep a night.Think of living a healthier lifestyle as a journey not a sprint. The better you feel both mentally and physically, the more your confidence improves.
Dress Better
Now that you have your dream body: let your outfits reflect it. Get rid of all your fat clothing, and buy outfits that you always dreamed of wearing. Show off your body with more revealing attire. Replace your old frumpy clothing with tighter, form fitting, but comfortable wear. Seeing your new body in this clothing will instantly give you a confidence boost. Make sure to compliment yourself as you wear these outfits, and embrace your new sexier look.
Write a List of Your Best Attributes
Have friends and family members help you compose a list all about what makes you special. Hearing their kind words will help you see your awesomeness through their eyes. They are more objective about you than you are, so you know their compliments are sincere.
Pair this list with a journal. In it, write daily about the things that went right. The journal helps build your confidence but also your appreciation for all the blessings life has to offer you.
Act the Part
Lift up your shoulders and push them back, keep your head up, and stand tall. The simple act of changing the way you sit and stand adds the appearance of confidence. If you move like you’re sure of yourself, you will eventually become that way. The same goes for your behavior. If you engage in behavior that exemplifies confidence, you will start to become more confident. The more you take chances, the easier it becomes to see yourself as a fully evolved, risk-taking, confident person.
Help Others
Sometimes helping others is the motivation you need to become more confident. You put your fear aside and focus on doing what is necessary to help improve someone’s situation. Volunteer at a local nonprofit or charity organization. This weekly activity tremendously helps your personal growth.…
